Any day that includes finding an email from an editor in my in box with an acceptance and a contract is a good day. (Although, truthfully, today’s been pretty grand even without that.) I’m super pleased to announce that my short story, “Aftershocks,” has been accepted for publication at Wily Writers. A couple grieving the loss of their son in Iraq return home to find their living room ransacked, and the police have no answers.
The seed idea had been in my journals for at least a year. Wily Writers had an upcoming deadline for their May theme – flash fiction. I took the plunge and was pleased with the results. Thankfully, the editors at Wily Writers were as well.
More details when I have them.
